How to Clean a Lunch Backpack or Lunch Box

We are also often asked how to clean lunch bags and lunch boxes. With the advent of "junk-free lunches", more things are put into lunch bags and lunch boxes (that is, garbage). This means that extra cleaning and diligence are required to maintain the lunch delivery mechanism.

Usually, the lunch bag has a foam lining inside and outside, as well as a soft plastic lining. Its appearance is a material similar to that of a backpack, so it is quite durable and easy to clean.

how to clean a lunch backpack or lunch box?

We will use the same cleaning method as the backpack; let's check the protective gear label to see if it can be machine washed. Most bags of good quality will do. Use cold water and mild detergent to clean with a gentle cycle. When washing the bag by hand, use the same mixture of detergent and warm water and wipe it clean with a soft sponge or cloth. Hang up your lunch bag to dry, here we want to avoid using the dryer.
If your plastic lining has stains, you can use baking soda and water to make a paste to remove it, just wipe it off with a sponge, and then rinse it off.

To clean the lunch box, just wash it with a sponge and warm soapy water. Let dry head down.

To get rid of the peculiar smell of lunch bags or lunch boxes, just put baking soda in it overnight. Then pour it out and wipe it clean in the morning.
