Bringing a smart backpack, taking family or friends on a road trip is one of our favorite types of family vacations, because it allows you to build a good time with your family or friends. But the snacks or a bag of candies bought at every gas station, and the temptation to eat out or taste fast food in restaurants, do start to increase money and waste time.

If you want to save a bit on food costs and eat healthier, here are some suggestions for your next road trip.

3. Cereal with milk
4. Small sausages can be eaten directly from the packaging. But if you like hot, put them in a small thermos and pour very hot boiling water. Put the lid on, and when you are ready to eat them, the water will heat them.
5. Yogurt

-Lunch and dinner

Too many choices for lunch on the road. Sandwiches are always the best choice for travel. Make fun road trip chicken or ham slices sandwiches and pair them with fruits, vegetables, juices and cookies. Use separate packages of condiments, such as mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and barbecue sauce, so you can use them all at once without having to refrigerate them.

Usually you can store the other prepared food in a fresh-keeping box or portable fridge for a few hours. It is also a good choice to prepare a lunch backpack.

Take some time to prepare healthy road trip foods, such as hummus and vegetables, sandwiches, lentil salad, homemade granola bars, hard-boiled eggs, or anything you can grab and eat with a fork. Also remember to bring some snacks. Snacks are the first way to keep children happy during the family journey. Prepare enough food to make road trips happier.
